Account & Login
What is the account for?
We use your Hartley DSP account to:
- Send newsletters and announcements if you joined the mailing list.
- Manage beta access, beta activation, and beta feedback.
- Manage product licensing, downloads, and support.
Note: Use one consistent email address for registration, purchase or beta testing, activation, and support.
We use this to verify account ownership and connect your licenses, downloads, and support history.
See How We Handle Your Data for more details.
Products & Licensing
What are your products?
Our first product is THeVerb®, a spatial convolutional reverb plugin.
THeVerb combines direct-signal spatial cues and room convolution so you can place sources in realistic spaces, then build coherent multi-instance mixes with multiple sources in the same virtual room.
See the THeVerb® manual for full control and workflow details.
Why so few products?
We are focusing on depth and quality. The goal is to ship tools that offer clear, distinctive value rather than a broad catalog of overlapping products.
How does licensing and activation work?
Full product licenses activate online and then support ongoing use. Beta versions use separate beta keys and can be time-limited.
THeVerb starts in Trial Mode until activation. In Trial Mode you can evaluate the plugin with limits, then unlock full functionality by activating with your account email and license key.
You can activate on up to three machines at the same time. If you need help with reactivation, machine limits, or account recovery, contact support.
Getting Started
For a fast setup workflow, open THeVerb® Quick Start.
How do I install the plugin?
Download the latest THeVerb installer from Products, then run the installer and follow the prompts. The installer includes the plugin, the factory IR library, and the user manual.
- Download the current installer.
- Run the installer on Windows and complete setup.
- Open your DAW and scan for new VST3 plugins.
- Insert THeVerb and continue to activation.
THeVerb installs as a VST3 plugin in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\.
The factory IR library is stored in your user profile under
%appdata%\HartleyDSP\THeVerb\IRLibrary.
Note: License information is stored with your plugin settings.
Do not edit or delete those settings files unless support asks you to do so, or you may need to reactivate.
How do I activate the plugin?
On first launch, THeVerb opens in Trial Mode. Click the orange Activate button in the plugin header to open the activation dialog.
- Open THeVerb in your DAW.
- Click Activate.
- Enter your account email and license key.
- Click Activate to complete online verification.
Important: Use the same email for account login, purchase or beta registration, activation, and support.
Licenses can be active on up to three machines at once. If needed, you can deactivate a machine from your account.
Full and Beta Licenses
- Full licenses activate once and are designed for ongoing use.
- Beta versions use a separate beta key from the beta area of your account.
- Beta keys are time-limited and may require periodic reactivation.
Activation Troubleshooting
- Check that you entered the same email used on your Hartley DSP account.
- Copy and paste the full key to avoid typing errors or extra spaces.
- Confirm that your internet connection, firewall, or VPN is not blocking activation.
Why do I see browser and OS warnings when downloading/installing?
You may see browser or Windows warnings when downloading or opening installers. This happens because executable files are checked by security systems, and newer publishers or unsigned pre-release builds can be flagged.
When downloading from hartleydsp.com, these warnings are expected in some cases during beta and early release phases.
Safety check: Make sure the file came from hartleydsp.com before continuing.
If a warning appears for an installer from another source, cancel and contact support@hartleydsp.com.
What are the system requirements?
THeVerb® currently supports Windows hosts.
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- VST3-compatible DAW host
- Internet connection for activation and license refresh
- Headphones recommended for spatial setup and evaluation
Beta Programme
What is the beta program?
The beta program gives you access to pre-release software so you can test, report issues, and suggest improvements before or during release cycles.
Beta builds may be unstable and are not intended for production use. Participation is subject to the Beta Testing Agreement.
Constructive beta participation may be eligible for rewards, including possible free full licenses, at our discretion.
How do I earn rewards?
Rewards are based on constructive participation. Early and well-documented reports are especially valuable while products and workflows are still evolving.
At this stage, rewards are discretionary and may include full licenses or discounts. If you have questions about eligibility, contact support.
What counts as a constructive and well-documented report?
Useful reports typically include your DAW, operating system, clear issue description, and steps to reproduce when available.
Feature requests, workflow feedback, and clear all-good reports can also be valuable, especially when they include practical context.
Submit via the beta report form where possible.
Is the beta program open forever?
No. We may pause, close, or limit beta enrollment or reporting windows. Existing commitments and earned rewards are honored in line with program terms.
Technical Support
How do I get support during the pre-release Beta Phase?
Beta testers should submit issues through the beta report form wherever possible.
If you need direct assistance, email support@hartleydsp.com.
How do I get technical support?
Start with the THeVerb® manual and the Getting Started steps on this page. If your issue remains, use the support tools available for your account role, or contact support by email.
